Course Overview: Silver State Rescue offers the HeartSaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course, accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA). This course is meticulously designed for individuals who require a CPR AED course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, and those who wish to be well-prepared to respond to emergencies involving infants and children. Targeting those with limited or no medical training, the course equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge to act effectively in emergencies until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive.
HeartSaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED: This comprehensive course is specifically tailored to meet the needs of those who care for infants and children, whether in a professional setting or at home. It covers pediatric CPR, AED use, and first aid, including how to manage choking in infants and children, and provides essential training on responding to common first aid emergencies such as cuts, bruises, allergic reactions, and asthma attacks.
Course Objectives: Participants will learn:
- The fundamentals of pediatric first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use.
- Techniques for effectively recognizing and responding to cardiac arrest and choking in infants and children.
- Skills for managing pediatric emergency situations, including treating injuries, allergic reactions, and environmental emergencies.
- The knowledge and confidence to provide critical support in pediatric emergencies until professional help arrives.
